Make-up Practice

Before we filmed any of our zombie film we decided that it would be best if we practiced doing the make-up so then we would get it right for the actual filming. The make-up we're applying to our actors include fake bruises, cuts, infected wounds and bites. We know how to apply these as we researched and watched tutorial videos explaining thoroughly what to do. We then applied the techniques we learnt from the videos to ourselves and the images below are the outcomes, I am going to attempt the collar bone contouring again and try and apply make-up to the whole of my face instead of just fake blood to my nose. These are for practice and so they can only get better.

 Collar Bone Contouring
In the above image you can clearly see that my collar bones and neck are more visible than usual, this area also looks sore and gaunt. I did this by using lipstick and eyeshadow, I first of all went around my bones with a dark lipstip highlighting the areas i'm working on. After applying the lipstick I then had to mix the lipstick into my skin just to even out the tone, I then applied a dark pink eyeshadow, purple eyeshadow and a black eyeshadow to create more layers and to create a hollow effect.

Fake Blood-Nose Bleed

In the above image you can see that I have applied fake blood under my nose as if I have a nose bleed. Fake blood isn't hard to apply however I wanted to ensure that the one I purchased was good quality and it had a good consistency. The fake blood will be used more for cuts and wounds however than just a nose bleed.
