Further Make-Up Practice

In the above image I have contoured my collar bones even more so that they look even more hollow and gaunt, I did this the same way I applied the make up last time. I applied lipstick and then applied a heavy amount of eyeshadow on top to add depth and shadows.

In the above image you can see that I have applied fake blood onto my face to make it look as if i've been cut or slashed, I also added a heavy amount of eye shadow around it to create bruising. I also applied dark eye shadow around my nose to make me look more gaunt, and to highlight a potential sore area.

In the above image you can see both the cut and the collar bones that have been made to look as if they're gaunt. I wanted both types in one image as they will be on our actors and so they won't have just one injury, they'll have a few.

Make-up Practice

Before we filmed any of our zombie film we decided that it would be best if we practiced doing the make-up so then we would get it right for the actual filming. The make-up we're applying to our actors include fake bruises, cuts, infected wounds and bites. We know how to apply these as we researched and watched tutorial videos explaining thoroughly what to do. We then applied the techniques we learnt from the videos to ourselves and the images below are the outcomes, I am going to attempt the collar bone contouring again and try and apply make-up to the whole of my face instead of just fake blood to my nose. These are for practice and so they can only get better.

 Collar Bone Contouring
In the above image you can clearly see that my collar bones and neck are more visible than usual, this area also looks sore and gaunt. I did this by using lipstick and eyeshadow, I first of all went around my bones with a dark lipstip highlighting the areas i'm working on. After applying the lipstick I then had to mix the lipstick into my skin just to even out the tone, I then applied a dark pink eyeshadow, purple eyeshadow and a black eyeshadow to create more layers and to create a hollow effect.

Fake Blood-Nose Bleed

In the above image you can see that I have applied fake blood under my nose as if I have a nose bleed. Fake blood isn't hard to apply however I wanted to ensure that the one I purchased was good quality and it had a good consistency. The fake blood will be used more for cuts and wounds however than just a nose bleed.

Research and [Planning Provisional Marks

You need to interview your actors and include video blogs concerning production. I would like to see a timeline of what you are doing and when to evidence your time management. Revisit your posts - have you posted sometihng interesting and are yet to give a comment on? A good approach to research and planning - revisit your blog as a whole entity to make it exceptional. 15/20

Opening Two Minutes-Characters and Costumes

News Reporter-This will be the first character shown in our film. Our character will be a blonde middle-aged female wearing smart clothing. e.g shirt, skirt or a blazer. The news reporter will be speaking to the audience how to stay safe, how to defend themselves and where to go to get help. The news reporter is important in our opening two minutes as she is explaining everything, not only to those in the film but the audience also.

Masked Survivors-During the news report a small clip is going to be shown of people walking around wearing surgical masks. The masked survivors will be wearing casual clothing except from the mask as it is protecting them from the airbourne virus. We want to make the survivors look drained and exhausted to get the emotion across.

Our Survivor- Our survivor will be a young girl and also our main character in our opening two minutes. The young girl's clothes will be torn and ripped in some places, this will indicate that she has been running and hiding for a while. To make her look tired and vunerable to the audience we will apply pale white make up to her face and apply dark make up to her eyes. We don't want to make our main character seem too weak however as she will be headstrong and powerful.

The Zombies-The zombies are also a main focus in our opening two minutes so when they aren't in the scene, the audience will be wondering where they are. The zombies will be wearing ripped and torn clothing also except they will be covered in blood. I have been looking on YouTube for make up tutorials so i could get a better knowledge and so i'm going to be applying the make up also to make the zombies more realistic.

Our Title

This is a short clip with music of how our titles will look.
We decided to make a short clip of how our titles will look once at the end of our film, we made sure that they stand out but we wanted them to fade in and fade out as we believe this would be the best way for our titles to appear.

This is a still image of our title.
We decided on white titles on a black background as red titles didn't stand out and the colours faded into each other. The font fits our film also as it looks as though it's dripping or it has been slashed onto the screen. As our film is a zombie film as well this matches perfectly with our film theme.

Practice Titles

These are our practice titles for our opening two minutes, we've chosen the colours to be black and white, we then thought that putting a bold white font on a black background instead of red would be easier to see. We also decided to stick with a modernised font that is bold but also links to our opening two minutes.

Planning Targets

You need to include pie charts and analysis of results for your questionairre and you need to comment on your storyboard - preferably make an animatic. You need to have a timeline of events for filming and make video-blogs of things you get up to. Everything must be done by the end of term as far as research and planning is concerned and all filming must be in a project timeline.
